In 2005 I bought a condo while I was very single. In 2008 the housing market tanked. In 2009 I had a husband and in 2010 we had a daughter. The three of us didn't fit into my condo, but I owed more on my mortgage than the condo was worth and couldn't sell it to break even. I tried to refinance, but the banks refused because the value was no longer there. I didn't know of any other options and I thought we were stuck in this tiny condo until, maybe, hopefully, the economy picked up.

Then, I met Tabitha Widen and the idea of a short sale was introduced to me. My realtor, MaryJo had partnered with Tabitha and together they explained how the short sale process would work. Tabitha said it would cost me nothing and that she would handle all of the paperwork and communications with the banks. I was skeptical, because I had two mortgage loans that needed to be approved and my attorney told me it would be a difficult negotiation process with the lenders. It seemed too good to be true.

It was good and it is true. Tabitha is amazing. The first time we met, it was at my house. She knew I had a toddler, so she brought all the paperwork to me. We sat at my kitchen table and went through all the paperwork together. She was patient with my questions, patient with my daughter and gave me realistic timelines and expectations. She filed the paperwork with the lenders immediately after I filled it out. Every week, Tabitha emailed, or called to update me on the progress of the short sale.

Because of Tabitha's knowledge and persistence, the short sale was a success. I am living in a brand new home with my happy family. I was told to expect 6+ months for the completion of the short sale, but it took only 3.5 months from start to end. Tabitha's assistance cost me NOTHING, but provided my family with EVERYTHING.
